Did you know that you can gain weight and look skinnier?  The size of your arms and legs will be less if you gain five pounds of muscle and lose four pounds of fat.  The appearance of cellulite will be dramatically diminished and your shape will be pretier.  If you are going solely by what the scale says, you might think your diet program was a failure, even though you are pleased with how you fit and look in your clothes.
